The Life Style of Manzes

Manzes concluded a successful 2011 and is preparing for the 3rd annual Stoplight Party fundraiser on Saturday February 11th, 2012. DJ NATO is putting his finishing touches on the official Manzes mixtape “The Manze the Myth.” The New York chapter is getting ready for their first fundraiser of 2012. With membership at an all-time high, the sky is truly the limit for the Manzes teams.

History Of Manzes

The concept of what Manzes is today began back in 2007 when two friends began talking about forming an organization that would encourage living life to the fullest and fighting cancer. They wanted it to be made up of, successful, business professionals. The idea was to bring together great men in a network, where they could work together to support one another. The founders knew that it is not what you know, but who you know that all too often determines what you are able to achieve in life. Therefore these friends reached out to the quality men they had met throughout their life to find out if they would be part of this team.

As the potential members came together and the concept grew into a concrete possibility, one of the men had an inspiration. In putting together such a group, he felt it important to utilize its power and influence to give back to society. Manzes became a non-profit group dedicated to the fight against pancreatic cancer. The mission would be to bring together good men, who could accomplish great things.

In April of 2009 Manzes Inc was formed. The team is dedicated to our slogan of “Define Your Dash.” The dash is the line between a person’s birth and death.

Manzes Chapters

Manzes currently has chapters in San Diego, California and New York City.

Membership in Manzes

The Manzes team has the following levels of involvement:

Member: The highest level of commitment to the Manzes Inc group. The chapters of Manzes are made up of men who attend monthly meetings and are responsible for planning and coordinating fundraising events. Members pay yearly dues. Members are authorized to attend private event such as the holiday party, ski trip and Manzes Day Weekend.

Facilitator: This is an intermediate level. They help to coordinate events, attend monthly meetings and help sell tickets. They are invited to various non-fundraising events, get-togethers on weekends. However, Facilitators can’t attend any of the private events or receive membership benefits.

Volunteer: Essential to the success of the Manzes Mission, Volunteers assist with promotional events. They rarely attend meetings, but are involved to help our events be as successful as possible.

Manzes also has Honorary Members. The title of “Honorary Member” is given out to high profile people, like Steve Jobs and Patrick Swayze who both died pancreatic cancer, as a way of celebrating their Dash.
